Sometimes fruit gets a bad reputation, all that fructose. However, when eaten in its whole form it actually comes together.
Cantaloupe seeds are high in protein and the good kind of fats, not to mention minerals! And fats help slow down the absorption of sugar, lessening the impact on our blood sugar levels.
And to think often times we just throw them out! They can be blended into the yummiest milk ever! And one more plus with cantaloupe, it is one of the top foods that fight depression. Just a happy healthy complete breakfast when you eat it my way!!!!
Solar Power Health Cantaloupe Seed Milk
Seeds from one cantaloupe
A pinch of Stevia or 1 tsp lucuma
1/4 cup raw cashews (optional, but adds more creaminess and also fights depression. If you don’t have a vitamix soak them in boiling water for 10 minutes prior)
I like to superfood it up with some goji berries, pinch or turmeric, a smidgen of ginger. This is all up to you.
Add a cup of water and blend. Add more water to adjust thickness. Enjoy!!!! Or serve chilled!
